"First Waymo ride felt a little rushed"
Tried Waymo for the first time and the setup was mostly clear, but I did feel a bit rushed trying to figure everything out. The pickup details in the app took me a minute to understand, and there were a couple spots that felt more confusing than they probably needed to be. Overall not bad, just a little stressful for a first ride

"Upfront fare was actually accurate"
I liked that the fare was shown upfront and there weren’t any weird surprise charges after the ride. It was straightforward, which I appreciate. Has anyone else had the same experience with the price staying the same?

"Pickup spot was confusing"
I don’t know why the car stopped so far from where I was waiting, but once I actually got in, the Waymo ride was fine. I had to walk around a bit and basically guess where it had pulled over, which was annoying since I was in a hurry.

"Works sometimes, but I’m not totally sold yet"
I’ve only used it a handful of times, so maybe I just had bad luck, but a couple of my rides got rerouted or canceled last minute. When everything goes smoothly, it’s actually convenient. I just wouldn’t fully count on it yet based on my experience.

"Payment was smooth, but receipts took a while"
The charge went through just fine, so I can’t really complain about that part. At the same time, it was kind of annoying because the receipts showed up later than I expected. Not a huge deal, but also something that shouldn’t really take that long.

"I set up my Waymo account and..."
I set up my Waymo account and, for the most part, it was straightforward. The app walks you through everything clearly enough, so as long as you’re paying attention and have your info ready, it’s not hard to figure out. The only thing that slowed me down was the verification step. It took longer than I expected, and I had to double-check my details before it finally went through. A little annoying, but nothing major. In the end, I got it finished without needing to contact support

"Still not where I actually need it"
I keep checking Waymo because I really want it to work for me, but it still isn’t available in the areas where I actually need rides.
The app kind of makes it seem like I’m close to being able to use it, so I end up feeling pressured to set everything up and keep checking, only to find out it’s still not an option.
If it only works in certain little pockets, that needs to be much clearer upfront. Maybe it’s great in other places, but for me right now it’s basically useless. 1 star because availability is the whole point.
"Surprisingly Helpful Ride Updates"
I took a Waymo ride i was kind of confused at first about what the car was doing, especially when it paused or seemed to take a slightly different route. But the in-ride messages actually helped a lot. They explained what was happening without overwhelming me, so I wasn’t just sitting there guessing. The app felt clear and easy to follow, and after a few minutes I actually felt relaxed

"I tried Waymo and the ride itself…"
I tried Waymo and the ride itself was okay, but the drop-off really annoyed me. It stopped across the street from where I actually needed to go, so I ended up dragging my bags around anyway, which kind of defeated the whole purpose. I get that it probably has rules about where it can stop, but it still felt a little odd and inconvenient, like why pick that spot? Not sure I’d trust it again if I really needed a smooth, easy drop-off

"Way Comfier Than I Expected"
Okay, the seats were actually really comfy and the ride was super smooth. Like, why can’t every ride feel like this? I was fully expecting to be shifting around the whole time, but nope, just sat back and relaxed. No complaints from me.

"Got me there way faster than I expected"
I was impressed with how well the route worked. It took me off the usual backed-up main road and cut through a quieter side street that saved a lot of time. The ride was smooth, easy to follow, and I ended up getting there earlier than I thought I would.

"They finally got back to me"
It took a while to hear back, but they did eventually reply. The annoying part was having to verify myself more than once, which felt a bit repetitive and slowed everything down

"Accessibility help was hard to find"
I tried using the accessibility options, but finding help in the app was harder than it should’ve been. There wasn’t enough clear info around what to do, and it ended up feeling frustrating.

"Feels like something I can trust"
I’ve taken Waymo a handful of times now, mostly just for regular stuff around town, and it felt more normal than I expected. I don’t know all the details behind how it works or anything, but the app was easy enough to follow and the rides were smooth for the most part.
I was definitely a little nervous the first time, just because it’s still a weird thing to get used to. But after actually trying it, I feel a lot better about using it again. Not saying it’s perfect or that I’ve tried every situation, but based on my rides so far, it feels like a company I can trust

"Good ride, but the privacy stuff left me uneasy"
The ride itself was totally fine and the app worked without any real issues, so I can’t complain there. But I did find myself feeling a little uncomfortable afterward because I wasn’t completely sure what data they’re keeping or who it might be shared with. I wish the privacy settings were easier to find and explained in a more straightforward way. When an app knows where I’m going, I just want to feel a bit more reassured.

"Chill Ride Overall"
In the end, the ride was chill and I got where I needed to go without any stress. The only downside was that the car showed up late, which was a little annoying, but once I was in, everything was smooth.

"Thought canceling would be a pain, but it wasn’t"
I assumed canceling would be a hassle, but it was actually really easy. Plans changed, I canceled quickly, and there was no runaround

"Pretty smooth overall, but not quite the best yet"
The ride was mostly really smooth, and I appreciated how calm it felt compared to some other services I’ve tried where the driving can feel a bit aggressive. That said, there were a couple of random slowdowns and one stop that was a little jerky, so it stood out more than I expected. It’s definitely not bad, and I’d use it again, but compared with competitors that feel more consistently polished, this still seems like it needs a little fine-tuning.

"Had a small issue, but it got sorted"
My ride didn’t show the right charge at first, which was a little annoying. Support took a bit to get back to me, but once they did, they fixed it and explained what had happened. It wasn’t a perfect experience, but I’m glad they handled it in the end, if that makes sense. I’d still use Waymo again...

"App made everything way more stressful than it needed to be"
I wanted to give Waymo a try, but the app made the whole thing annoying before I even got a ride. The sign-in kept looping, the pickup pin was a pain to move, and the map wasn’t updating correctly. Every time I thought I was close to booking, something else popped up like the goalposts had moved again.
I ended up restarting the app twice just to get through the process, which is ridiculous. Maybe the actual rides are great, but if getting one booked feels this clunky and frustrating, I’m not really interested in wasting more time on it.
